CMS COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate
Information on this page pertains specifically to the matters around the Vaccine Mandate for health care professionals.
On Oct. 26, 2022, CMS released the revised memo QSO-23-02-ALL with revisions to guidance in Attachment A including the frequency of investigating compliance with the staff vaccination requirements, revised guidance on assigning severity and scope and revised guidance to align with recent changes to CDC recommendations related to testing, quarantine and source control as related to vaccination status.
“Up to Date” Definitions: Confusion remains around the definition and uses of “up to date”. Currently, nursing homes are following 2 separate definitions for nursing home operations and NHSN reporting. Read more on these definitions, why they differ, and when to apply each here.
